this used to be called the student special, but there were so many more teachers than students [think about it] and the students that were coming were of the geriatric spectrum, that we just changed the student special to the teachers’ bargain.... no more flack....tell us that you'll get to the house under you own steam, gonna get up and bed made by eleven.... breakfast before one..... three hours 'recess' off premises... no last minute dinner plan changes allowed... good for 10% off rack anytime, no blackout periods and no blackboards to wash.
Plain ol lustful-drop-dead-georgous discounts are available [you know who you are] but can be tricky. Still worth a try, .... best attempted with rebooking. and don't try to fool mother nature....
Don't ask for a discount, but book into a main house bedroom as a double but tell them that you are going to be a single.... [it's been done before]. By the time he has multiplied the days, divided out the person that won't be there, taken the discount for the rye bread**..... he'll be asking for you account number so he can have the money transferred before you get here!
if you are going to stay longer than two days, you can ask but won't get any deal until you are up to about 7 calendar days.... now you are talking ammo, but be careful how you fire it...
Years ago it goes like once upon a time, 41 bigwigs in wigs got dragged off in what erupted into a national scandal and somehow got associated with 'gay' with old time 'milton berle drag' is still very popular....... it is even reputed that clubs subsequently opened under the name of 41 only to be harassed.... until they reopened under the name 42.... hey, it's mexico... there's are long [42] weekend special, four nights for the price of two...... usual once a month at the casa and favored by the chilangos..
Across the world various groups are constantly trying to raise money for good causes.....We often make donations of long weekends at the casa that are then raffled or auctioned off.... don't miss these local events, but as these are charity situations, most often these packages go for a lot more wampum than the rack rates.....but trigger such things as champagne upon arrival, extra pillow chocolates, etc. It's a way to support a good cause while sipping on your soda and swinging in a hammock....
limit your on premise consumption to imported packaged junk food, pop, etc available at the convenient grocery store in the neighborhood.... the discounts vary, but its worth asking.... popular with the outdoors treking thru types on minimum budget.... i meet a guy the other day who had 387 pesos for the rest of the week.... took the money and kicked him out the next day..... no no no just kidding....... advice is free, and these deals are best found at the zocalo....
ACtually pricey, but each night is a banquet....!!!!
if you have any computer, internet, etc skills, these can be parlayed into an extra day at the casa year round....[this offer is 'one at a time' and only void when another guru-pretend is already on the property.... inquire]
these are much different than night passes!
INDUSTRY DISCOUNTsay the secret word, just like on the old groucho marks' You Bet Your Life Show and you don't win a hundred dollars, but you do get a great trip to pie de la cuesta thrown in ..... not bad but a long shot....
Fly girls, pilots, travel agents, etc. qualify for 15% discount and special packages....****Old-timers know to mention that they are bringing some rye bread.... that too is always good for something!
